SADEPAN CHIMICA was established in 1973 on the drive of the strong need of the emerging Mauro Saviola Group to integrate the production process of the particleboard upstream. In perfect synergy with the other units in the Group, one of the most important components for the manufacture of the particleboard is supplied by SADEPAN CHIMICA: the adhesive, making it the mainstay as well as the chemical pole of the Group. Over the years, the company has evolved well beyond its initial conditions; its products are not only supplied to the Companies of the Group, but are exported all over the world. Continuous research, competitiveness, human resources and care to the environment are the priorities behind the company's success. In fact, SADEPAN CHIMICA has conquered market leadership in Italy and is now a major European company in the sector of resins and adhesives for the wood industry. The application of a consolidated wealth of technical-scientific knowledge has resulted in new solutions to reduce the potential impact on the environment of its products, such as the progressive reduction of free formaldehyde in the glues and the development and production of slow release nitrogen fertilizers. The company has implemented important strategies for market and products range expansion with the units of Viadana (MN), Castelseprio (VA) and Truccazzano (MI) in Italy, and with the unit SADEPAN CHIMICA NV of Genk, in the Flemish area of Belgium. SADEPAN CHIMICA has a range of products in constant evolution, ranging from formaldehyde to liquid and powdered urea glues, from modified melamine and urea resins for decorative papers impregnation to phenolic resins and phenolic Kraft papers, from cationic amide resins to slow release nitrogen fertilizers.
Sadepan Chimica’s commitment to quality and sustainable development is demonstrated by the adoption of a Quality Management System according to the UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 standard (units of Viadana and Castelseprio), and of an Environment and Safety Management System according to UNI EN ISO 14001 and UNI 10617 standards (Viadana plant). Furthermore, the factory of Viadana has been registered under the Regulation EC 761/2001 EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme).
